Usage&Features

Armored J-type thermocouple, also known as iron constantan thermocouple, has a positive electrode (JP) mainly composed of pure iron and a negative electrode (JN) made of copper nickel alloy. Armored J-type thermocouples can be used in vacuum, oxidation, reduction, and inert atmospheres, but the positive electrode iron oxidizes quickly at high temperatures, so its use temperature is limited and it cannot be directly used in sulfurization atmospheres at high temperatures without protection.
